Scammers and Their Scam's

" I want to turn your story into a play "

I received various e-mails from a woman of Irish background claiming to live in England. This person claimed to be a young play writer and was looking for interesting adoption stories.

They claimed that they could not give me any money for my story but that it would be exposed to the public and possibly help my search.  After exchanging several e-mails she wanted to ask some private questions.............I then asked to speak to her, because the questioning via e-mail was taking too much time and she/he/they was not responding on a regular basis.

I guess I went too far ..............and she/he/they disappeared. So beware of any offers to tell your story via a play, newspaper, etc. Ask for Telephone numbers, etc. If they are for real they will give you the information to you without hestitation.

Male Scammer - Poses as a Male Adoptee
This person will portray themselves as an Male adoptee searching for their biological family . Their life will be in disarray / problem prone / in danger. If this person starts putting off giving of information or suddenly disappears from contact then reappears. If it seems that it is hard to get pictures, documents, etc. get your guard up! It is all part of their process to prolong their scam. If they need help tell them to go to a shelter or contact the police. If you do send the police it will most likely verify the truth of their story.

Female Scammer - Poses as a Female Adoptee
This person has posed as a female adoptee looking for her biological family and / or mother. Their life is in disarray / shambles / troubled / problem prone in most cases. She may or eventually get in trouble or danger. She will start off normally but the situation turns bad, very bad. This should be a stop sign for you the birth mother! Tell her to go to a shelter, call the police!!! Do not take it upon yourself to rescue them. Call the local police to help, they will respond and find out if this true or false.

Scammers and E-mail addresses

Free E-mail based addresses are mostly used. There are exceptions to this but e-mail addresses using a free mail server such as Hotmail, etc. are used because these accounts are easily set-up and impossible to trace or find the real person behind it.  Beware of a person using multiple addresses at once or over a short period of time.

Scammers - In General..................
The Scammers at least in several cases want to play with our heart strings, they need help and we are the only ones at that point that can help. This has happened to quite a few people. Police departments were called, people drove hours to get to a location, etc. Tell them to call the authorities and get help. Do not take it upon your self to help them. It is all part of their Scan Sceme.
